John Scotland: February 2010

John Scotland
“In 1996 I brought Heidi to a conference at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship, and we encountered John Scotland, one of the speakers. Heidi had not yet visited TACF, and did not know what to expect. John was in the Spirit, happy, humorous, and made no pretense of impressing anyone with an artificially rigid presentation. By the power of the Spirit he was able not only to lift the hearts of everyone listening, but could also in the space of a few words say more of divine importance than many others say in entire sermons. John was a powerful spiritual catalyst in our lives, opening our eyes and hearts all the more to our God, who is so appealingly full of joy, sensitivity and creativity. We richly enjoy our friendship with him, and recommend his ministry.” –Rolland Baker, husband of Heidi Baker of Iris Ministries, Mozambique
John and his wife Jean have traveled to many nations. The Lord gave John a dream, I believe, in March 2004, that he was to do more ministry in the US and Canada and place his ministry under CMM, whom he did not know at the time.

They have been used in many surprising places, like traditional places like Presbyterian, Lutheran, Episcopal, etc. churches to release joy and freedom in the Spirit to hungry and thirsty people. He has also traveled to Australia, New Zealand, and many parts of Europe.

John was instrumental in following the leading of the Lord in the 1990’s to raise over 2 million dollars for the poor in England. He received a special award from the Queen and Prince Andrew for his humanitarian efforts. John may appear ‘drunk’ on stage, but he is very prophetic and a wise business minded man sitting at the table. John and I have discussed for almost 4 years our mutual desire to open a UK legal entity of CMM in the near future. MorningStar may want to explore expansion there as well.

John’s visa expires in June 2010 and he will have to stay out of the US for one year at that time. He has felt a pinch financially with the recession and could be blessed by invitations from Foreign churches while he is away.
John has a heart for children and orphanages in India and elsewhere. He is a good overseer and can help as needed in other areas.
